NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team was defeated in four sets in a non-conference match at Saint Mary's College Friday night, 25-8, 18-25, 25-22, 25-18.
Saint Mary's hit .264 in the match compared to .134 by Kalamazoo.
Ann Lawrence led the Hornets with seven kills.
Savannah Chapie, Taylor Stephens and Brittany Miller each had six. Charlotte Ruiter finished with five along with a team-high four blocks.
Jana Molby led the Hornets wtih 13 assists. Sara Reathaford finished with ten, while Rorie Dougherty had nine.
Lizzy Rachiele tallied 17 digs. Halley Johnson had 11 digs with four kills.
Kalamazoo has a week off before finishing MIAA play at Calvin on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m.
