GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost its season finale at No. 9 Calvin University Saturday afternoon, 25-13, 25-13, 25-10.
The score was tied 6-6 in the first set before Calvin went on a 4-0 run. The Hornets trailed 14-10 before Calvin began to pull away with a five-point run.
Kalamazoo trailed 5-4 early in the second before a five-point run by the Knights. Kalamazoo trailed 11-8 before another five-point run by Calvin.
Kalamazoo scored the first two points of the third set before a 12-point run by Calvin was too much to overcome.
Charlotte Ruiter led Kalamazoo with four kills.
Rorie Dougherty had a team-high five assists. Lizzy Rachiele tallied 13 digs.
