DEXTER, Mich. - Lauren Arquette continued to make a strong impact for the Kalamazoo College women's cross country team Friday afternoon as she finished in 21st place at the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic, notably the team's fastest finisher.
She ended the race with a time of 18:21.
Arquette and the rest of the K women's cross country team competed side-by-side with NCAA Division I programs such as Michigan, Michigan State, Eastern Michigan and Toledo.
Cheyenne Allyn-White was the second-fastest runner for Kalamazoo on the day as she finished in 52nd overall with a time of 21:14.
Kalamazoo's top five runners were rounded out by Sophie Roberts, Anna Roodbergen and Mira Swearer.
The Hornets will take the next week to prepare for the MIAA Championships in Charlotte, Mich. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31 and race time is set for 11 a.m.
