Paige Anderson of the Kalamazoo College cross country team was named the SAAC Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 19).
The Hornets ran at the Wheaton Gil Dodds Invite on Sept. 16 to continue its season and finished 8th out of 19 teams after scoring 214 points.
In a field of 256 runners and multiple NCAA Championship caliber teams, Anderson ran a career-best 22:02 and came in ninth overall. Her previous personal best was 22:05, which she ran at the MIAA Championships last season. Anderson is coming off a season where she was an All-MIAA First Team runner and made the NCAA DIII Great Lakes All-Region Team.
Kalamazoo will next run at the Lansing CC Invite on Friday (Sept. 22).
