Women's Cross Country Runs at Augustana Interregional Invite

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's cross country team competed in the Augustana Interregional Invite on Saturday (Oct. 14) at the Saukie Golf Course. The Hornets finished 21st out of 42 teams with 585 points in the 6k race.

Chicago won the event with 48 points, with Wartburg coming in second (68 points), Wash. U in third (129 points), Colorado College in fourth (148 points), and Calvin in fifth (165 points).

The Hornets had two top-100 finishers, as Paige Anderson came in 41st at 22:52, and Alison Hankins finished 77th at 23:33. Haleigh Nower (24:06) and Allison Nutt (24:50) were the next two Hornets to cross the line. 

Rounding out the scoring for Kalamazoo were Maddie Hanulcik (25:21), Annalise Bailey (25:39), and Cate Cotter (25:49). Also running for the Hornets were Maya Alkema (22:57) and Alisa Mason (26:06).

Kalamazoo will have a week off before competing in the MIAA Championships at Three Fires Golf Club on Saturday (Oct. 28).
