KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team tied for fourth at the MIAA Jamboree at the Kalamazoo Country Club on Monday.

Kalamazoo shot 312, tying Hope College for fourth place. Trine won the event with a low score of 301. Calvin was second (307) while Adrian finished third (310).

Kalamazoo's Will Reichle shot a 72 to share medalist honors with Nolan Eli of Trine University. Reichle shot 39 on the front and 33 on the back.

"What a great day for Will in his last home jamboree," said Kalamazoo Head Coach Mitch Wilson. "Not only did he tie for medalist honors, but that is a career best for him. The team and I are very happy for his great showing."

David Smith shot a 79 while Agron Ziberi (80) and Tibin John (81) rounded out the top four for the Hornets.

"As a team, we were hoping to have a better showing today," added Wilson. "I give the guys a lot of credit -- they continued to grind and play hard even though it wasn't their best day. We have three jamborees left and I am confident we will continue to improve."

Kalamazoo returns to action with the next MIAA Jamboree hosted by Trine on Saturday, Sept. 28.
