Men's Tennis Blanks Wabash in Season Opener

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team defeated Wabash College 9-0 in the season opener Saturday inside the Markin Center.

Kalamazoo swept the three doubles matches before winning all six singles matches in straight sets.

Winning in doubles for Kalamazoo were Ian Yi/Daniel Henry, Zack Ray/Allen Vinson, and Tytus Metzler/Alex Cadigan.

Winning in singles were Ian Yi, Daniel Henry, Tytus Metzler, Allen Vinson, Alex Cadigan, and Zack Ray.

Metzler did not lose a set in doubles or singles.

Kalamazoo is ranked No. 25 in the nation in NCAA Division III and No. 6 in the central region.

The Hornets are back in action Sunday, Feb. 3 at the University of Chicago (XS Tennis).
