Men's Tennis Defeats Coe

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team defeated Coe College 6-3 inside the Markin Center on Saturday.

The visiting Kohawks won all three doubles matches including an 8-7(5) win at one doubles to take an early lead.

Kalamazoo came back strong in singles winning all six matches in straight sets to earn the win.

Ian Yi, Daniel Henry, Tytus Metzler, Allen Vinson, Alex Cadigan, and Casey Johnson each won in singles.

Kalamazoo entered the match ranked No. 25 in the nation and No. 6 in the central region. Coe was ranked No. 39 in the nation and No. 10 in the region.

The Hornets return to action at home on Sunday, March 3 against Denison.
