Kalamazoo College Cross Country Head Coach Kyle Morrison has announced captains for the upcoming 2022-23 season. The Hornets are coming off a 2021 season that saw the women finish fourth at the MIAA Championships while the men came in eighth place.

"These individuals have all invested in the program culture, showed up strong in the classroom, put the work into training, and stepped up to lead this summer," commented coach Morrison. "I cannot wait to get going this fall with these individuals helping to lead us toward our goals for the teams and program."

Senior Anna Varitek will return to the captaincy role for another season. Junior Annalise Bailey and sophomore Paige Anderson will join Varitek to round out the captains for the women's team.

On the men's side, junior Patrick Dunfee plus sophomores Keegan Reynolds and Levi Thomas will be captains this season.

Kalamazoo will kick off its season at the Knight Invite in Grand Rapids, Mich. at the Gainey Athletic Complex. Races will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10.
