The Hornets defeated the University of Michigan-Dearborn 70-50 on Wednesday night.  Kalamazoo has now won two games in a row and is 4-3 overall this season.

Emily Lindsay had her break out game of the year. After putting up 11 points in the first half she finished with a loaded stat line of 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and four three pointers. Lindsay, who was the second leading scorer on the team last year had reached double digits in scoring three times already this season, but this was certainly her finest all-around game yet.

The Hornets were never really threatened in this ball game and held the lead for its entirety. The starters combined for 62 points on 26/53 shooting and Kalamazoo outdid the Wolverines on the boards 58-45.

Kalamazoo had contributions from up and down the roster tonight. Kelsey Adamski put up a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists. Hannah Maness had a season high nine rebounds and Perri Nicholson was a force in the paint – swatting three blocks, pulling down nine rebounds  and scoring 11 points. Grace Smith scored 12 points and the guard added five rebounds.

The Hornets got solid bench production once again from both Claire Slaughter and Querubin Dubois who combined for 13 points and two assists in 22 minutes.

The Hornets will look to make it three in a row Saturday, Dec. 14 at Mount Union.
