KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team closed its non-conference schedule with a home contest against Wooster on Sunday (Apr. 2). The Hornets ultimately fell to the Fighting Scots 18-8.

Kalamazoo scored the game's first goal, but Wooster responded by scoring six of the following seven goals. As a result, the Fighting Scots led 6-2 after one quarter of play.

Wooster kept its foot on the gas pedal by putting away the next two goals and then another five after the Hornets scored once. However, Kalamazoo did get the last goal of the half as the scoreboard read 13-4 in favor of the Fighting Scots.

Both teams scored twice in the third quarter, and Wooster outscored Kalamazoo 3-2 in the fourth to take the 10-goal victory.

Wooster outshot Kalamazoo 32-20 overall, 29-17 on goal. The Hornets held a 17-13 advantage in draw controls but turned the ball over 26 times compared to 20 by the Fighting Scots.
