KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team defeated Calvin 2-1 on Senior Night at MacKenzie Field on Tuesday.

Calvin went up 1-0 with a goal in the 20th minute, successfully converting its only shot on goal on the night.

The Hornets evened the score on Madison Moote's goal in the 56th minute and pulled ahead with Madeleine Chilcote's goal in the 74th minute.

"I was very proud of the team's comeback tonight," said Kalamazoo Head Coach Bryan Goyings. "Maddie Moote showed great composure on the first goal and it was great to see Maddie Chilcote get on the scoresheet as well."

Kalamazoo outshot Calvin 9-8 overall, including 4-1 on goal.

"We made the most of our chances and it was great to get a win on senior night," Goyings added.

The Hornets improved to 13-3-1 overall and 10-3-1 in the MIAA while securing at least second place in the conference and at least one home MIAA Tournament game. Kalamazoo has regular season games remaining at Hope (Nov. 1) and at Alma (Nov. 3).
