WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost 80-64 on the road at Wisconsin-Whitewater on Saturday. The host Warhawks improved to 6-0 on the season.
Kalamazoo trailed 43-30 at halftime.
Chase Baysdell and Ben Reiter had career-highs in scoring for the Hornets. Baysdell scored 28 points with seven rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting and 15-of-16 free throws. Reiter scored 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting with 5-of-9 from behind the arc.
Tanner Blyly had five rebounds and two steals while Jake Whitney and Josh Whitney also had five rebounds each. Charlie Carson had three assists.
UW-Whitewater shot 43.8 percent from the field and made 31-of-46 free throws. Kalamazoo shot 35.8 percent overall while sinking 19-of-21 free throws.
Kalamazoo returns to action in Tennessee Dec. 17-18 at Rhodes College.
