Men's Basketball falls to Olivet

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost 81-69 to Olivet College on Wednesday inside the Anderson Athletic Center.

Kalamazoo trailed 22-20 with five minutes left in the first half before the Comets used a 20-5 run to close out the half up 42-25. Olivet led by double figures the rest of the way.

Olivet shot 47.2 percent overall while sinking 10-of-26 3-pointers and 21-of-26 free throws. Kalamazoo shot 41.5 percent overall including 7-of-19 3-pointers and 18-of-26 at the line.

Kalamazoo held a 37-30 advantage in rebounds, including 13-6 on the offensive end.

Jimmy Paprocki led Kalamazoo with 13 points and five rebounds while making 7-of-11 free throws.

Jake Whitney scored 12 points while Chase Baysdell finished with 11 points and five rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Calvin.
