KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team dropped its game with Lawrence Tech on Friday night by a score of 84-74.

In a game where the Hornets never obtained a lead, they were able to stay close with the Blue Devils for much of the 40 minutes.

Lawrence Tech took a 44-35 lead into the halftime break and made it a 17-point game less than nine minutes into the half. Kalamazoo's comeback attempt included a run where it found itself down by just one point with two minutes left.

The Blue Devils connected on many of their free throws down the stretch, and 20 of 27 on the game, to put the Hornets away.

Kalamazoo shot 40.9 percent from the field while connecting on nine of 31 three-point attempts.

Tanner Blyly led Kalamazoo offensively with 21 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Jarnard Smith was the other Hornet in double figures with 12 points.

Kalamazoo will be back in action tomorrow, Nov. 24 for a 1 p.m. game against Centre College.
