The Kalamazoo College men's golf team finished just four strokes out of first place Tuesday afternoon at the second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree of the fall season. The Hornets compiled an overall score of 297, giving them a third place finish, the same place they finished in the first jamboree of the season.
Nick Ludka led the way for K, shooting an impressive one-under, 71, placing him in a tie for first individually. David Smith ended his day right behind Ludka as he recorded a 73 and finished in seventh.
Phil Ritchie and Travis Veenhuis each finished in the top 20 themselves, shooting a 76 and 77 respectively.
Rounding out the top five golfers for the Hornets was Nick Marsh. He ended the afternoon with a 90.
Kalamazoo will hit the road again this weekend when it heads to Alma for the third MIAA Jamboree. Tee time is set for 1 p.m.
