Tim Grobosky playing lacrosse.

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team was defeated on the road Saturday, falling 15-3 to conference foe Albion.

After Albion opened the game with three straight goals Brandon Wright got K on the board with nine minutes remaining in the first quarter. The second quarter followed a similar pattern as the Brits scored three straight before Doug Shipp found the back of the net with one minute remaining in the half to send the Hornets into halftime trailing 6-2.

Brandon Wright scored the first goal of the second half and pulled K to within 6-3, but it would be Kalamazoo's only goal of the half as Albion scored nine straight, including two in the final 25 seconds of the third quarter to run away with the game.

Albion outshot K 53-17, forcing K goalkeeper Tim Grobosky into a program record 17 saves.

Brandon Wright had two goals for K and Zach Morales caused three turnovers in the loss.

Kalamazoo will finish off the season with a pair of home games starting with matchup with Adrian on Tuesday, April 24th at 7 p.m.
