Men's Lacrosse Falls 7-6 at Calvin

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's cross country team lost 7-6 at Calvin University Wednesday night.

Calvin took a 2-1 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Kalamazoo took a 3-2 lead into halftime after scoring the only two goals in the second quarter. The Hornets scored the first three in the third to take a 6-2 lead, but Calvin followed up with two to trail 6-4 at the end of the quarter. The host Knights scored three goals in the first four minutes of the fourth to pull ahead by one, and held that lead the rest of the way.

Calvin held a 44-28 advantage in shots, including 21-14 on goal.

Logan Gillis scored two goals with one assist. Cam VanGalder scored twice. Jack Loveland scored a goal with two assists.

Dylan Wickey was credited with 14 saves in goal.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Hope on Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m.
