Men's Lacrosse Falls at Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team was defeated 20-5 at Hope College Saturday afternoon.

Hope led 6-0 after eleven minutes of play before Kalamazoo scored three goals in the final three minutes to trail 6-3 at the end of the first quarter.

Hope scored early in the second followed by Kalamazoo making it 7-4 with 10:27 left in the half. Hope scored six unanswered to take a 13-4 lead into halftime.

The Flying Dutchmen outscored Kalamzoo 7-1 in the second half leading to the 20-5 final.

Hope outshot Kalamazoo 53-20 in the game, 34-9 on goal.

Ryan Warezak scored a goal and had an assist.

Vincent Tremonti, Ronin Honda, Jack Jesko and Logan Gillis also scored.

Jack Bungart led the Hornets with three ground balls. Alex Dubin had two ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Albion on Wednesday, April 26, at 7 p.m.
