Men's Lacrosse Falls 11-6 at League-Leading Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team was defeated 11-6 at league-leading Hope College on Saturday.

Hope scored the first three goals of the game and led 4-2 at the end of the first quarter. Kalamazoo scored the only two goals of the second quarter, making it a 4-4 game at halftime.

After a Hope goal early in the third, Kalamazoo scored twice to take a 6-5 lead with 8:15 left in the third. Hope proceeded to score three goals to end the third and the only three goals in the fourth, leading to the 11-6 final.

Hope outshot Kalamazoo 38-32 overall, 20-19 on goal. Each team won 10 faceoffs.

Jake Asnis, Grayson Pratt, Mitchel VanGalder, Dylan Adkins, Logan Gillis and Eli Routt each scored for Kalamazoo.

Logan Gillis was also credited with three assists and five ground balls.

Jake Asnis also had five ground balls.

Eric Paternoster made nine saves in goal.

Kalamazoo returns home to host Trine on Senior Day next Saturday, April 27, at 1 p.m.
