GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The 2020 MIAA Championships began Wednesday evening with one finals event (800 Free Relay) on the schedule at Calvin.
Kalamazoo's top relay in this event disqualified.
The relay of Tyler Sakalys-Moore, Jackson Rysavy, Nick Nerhood, and John Crane finished 12th with a time of 7:11.81.
Kalamazoo is in sixth place with 10 points following the first night of competition.
The championships continue through Saturday with swimming prelims each morning at 10 a.m. and finals in the evening at 5:30 p.m.
