CLERMONT, Fla. - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost its final game in Florida 10-2 to Lewis & Clark on Wednesday. Kalamazoo's game with Union was rained out.

Lewis & Clark scored a run in the top of the first, but that was matched in the bottom half by Andrea MacMichael's home run.

After a scoreless second inning the Pioneers scored four in the third and two in the fourth to take a 7-1 lead. Lewis & Clark added three more in the top of the sixth.

Alaina Kirschman doubled to lead off the bottom of the sixth and scored on MacMichael's fly out, but it wasn't enough as the game ended with the 10-2 final.

MacMichael and Kirschman had the only two hits for the Hornets.

Kalamazoo returns to Michigan on Thursday and the Hornets are scheduled to open MIAA play at home on Saturday against Alma at 1 p.m.
