Women's Basketball Drops Game at Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team fell in MIAA action on Wednesday evening as the host Trine Thunder beat the Hornets 94-44.

After Kalamazoo scored the first two points of the game, Trine used an 11-0 run to take advantage early. The Thunder led 26-12 at the end of the first quarter. Trine outscored Kalamazoo 20-9 in the second quarter to take a 46-21 lead into halftime. 

Trine topped Kalamazoo 27-11 in the third and 21-12 in the fourth. 

Kalamazoo connected on 15 of its 45 shot attempts while making four of 11 three-point tries. Trine was 35-67 from the floor and 15-30 from beyond the arc. 

Georgie Andrews led Kalamazoo with 14 points on five of six shooting while making both of her three-point attempts. She also collected six rebounds. 

Kaytlyn Tidey added 12 points while Isabelle Clark scored 10 while grabbing five rebounds. 

The Hornets return home for their final game of the season when they host Alma for Senior Day on Saturday. The game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
