Women's Basketball Falls at #18 Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team was defeated 82-45 at #18 Trine University Wednesday night.

After a 3-3 tie to start the game, Trine used a 12-0 run to begin pulling away to a 25-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. Trine outscored Kalamazoo 18-10 in the second to take a 43-22 lead into halftime. After scoring just five points in the third quarter, Kalamazoo outscored Trine 18-15 in the fourth.

The host Thunder shot 41.2 percent overall while making 13-of-31 three-pointers. Kalamazoo shot 34.8 percent overall with 5-of-15 three's. Trine held a 37-36 edge in rebounds, including 13-7 on the offensive end.

Kaelyn Arlington scored 10 points with nine rebounds. Laila Vincent scored 10 points with three rebounds and three assists.

Jackie Brines added eight points with three rebounds. Sara English finished with six points.

Kalamazoo returns home Saturday, Feb. 11 to face Adrian at 1 p.m.
