Women's Lacrosse Falls to Saint Mary's

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team fell 16-7 to Saint Mary's Wednesday evening. 

The visiting Belles got out to a 9-0 lead before the Hornets were able to get on the board. Saint Mary's took a 12-5 lead into the halftime break. 

Kalamazoo held the Belles to just four second half goals, but scored just two of its own. 

The Hornets outshot the Belles 39-28 including a 16-8 advantage in the second half. Both teams ended the game with 26 ground balls. 

Lilly Baumann led Kalamazoo on the offensive end with three goals.

Sam Jacobsen scored two of her own while Amanda Moss and Leah Tardiff each added one. 

Rose Bogard and Marianna Olson each collected one assist. Bogard ended the game with a team-high six ground balls. 

Kalamazoo returns to play against MIAA opponent Calvin on Saturday, April 13 at 4 p.m.
