The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was featured in the department's eighth edition of the summer's Top Moment Thursday from the 2022-23 season.
The match did not start as the Hornets wanted it to, falling in a 3-0 hole after three doubles matches. From there on, Kalamazoo dominated the singles matches to climb back into the match. Renee Torres and Maddie Hurley both dropped three points in 6-0, 6-3 and 6-1, 6-2 wins. Then Sophie Zhuang and Eleni Bougioukou took the lead for Kalamazoo by taking their two singles matches 7-5, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-4. Hope was able to tie the match back up after winning a three-set match. Ivy Walker was the last to finish and had the most exciting match by winning 7-6 (7-3) and 7-6 (7-5).
