AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team shot a 301 on the first day of the Shootout at Stonehedge Friday. The Hornets sit in fourth place out of 13 teams.
Jackson Jones tied for fourth overall with a score of 70 on Friday.
Travis Veenhuis (76), Nick Ludka (77) and Mathew Holmes-Hackerd (78) rounded out the top four for Kalamazoo.
Alex White shot 77 as an individual entry.
Each team played an additional nine holes on Friday. Scoring for Kalamazoo was: Ludka (37), Jones (38), Holmes-Hackerd (42), Veenhuis (43), Colburn (47) and White (41).
*Pending weather, the men are scheduled to play an additional nine holes Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
*UPDATED Saturday, 9 a.m. - Due to weather Kalamazoo will not be competing on Saturday.
