Softball drops doubleheader at Alma

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost a pair of games at Alma on Wednesday, 5-0 and 16-0.

The first game was scoreless after two innings before Alma scored a pair of runs in the third. They added another run in the fourth and two more in the sixth to secure the win.

Alma had nine hits to Kalamazoo's three.

Dana Page was 2-for-3 while Abby Anderson also had a hit.

Alma exploded for 12 runs in the first inning of the second game before adding four more in the middle innings. The Scots outhit Kalamazoo 12-5 in the game while taking advantage of seven walks.

Querubin Dubois, Erin DuRoss, Emma Patrash, Megan Malish and Angelia Evangelista each singled for Kalamazoo in game two.

Kalamazoo (5-9, 2-2) returns home to face Trine University at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 4
