Women's Basketball falls at Calvin

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 77-43 at Calvin College on Saturday. Calvin is ranked No. 24 in the most recent D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.

The host Knights had a huge first quarter outscoring Kalamazoo 29-14. Calvin led 48-23 at the break.

Calvin shot 46.9 percent overall while limiting Kalamazoo to 28.6 percent. The Knights also held a 45-27 advantage in rebounds, including 21-10 on the offensive end.

Emily Kozal led Kalamazoo with 16 points and three rebounds.

Libby Munoz scored eight points off the bench while Eliza McCall and Danielle Simon each finished with four. Simon led the team with six rebounds and shared the team lead in assists (4) with Amanda Moss.

Kalamazoo returns to non-conference play at Westminster (Pa.) on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
