KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team advanced to the MIAA Tournament semifinals with a 1-0 victory over Calvin on Saturday evening.

The lone goal of the match came in the 26th minute when Josie Sibley found the back of the net for the second time this season. Madison Vallan assisted on the play for her first point of the year.

The Hornets outshot the Knights 13-11 throughout the match and had 10 shots on goal to Calvin's one.

Junior Hannah Wolfe played all 90 minutes in goal while making a save on the one shot on target.

"Beating a team twice is never easy and I was extremely proud of our collective effort as a group," said Coach Bryan Goyings. "The combination on the goal between Madison and Josie, working hard to be in the right spot to put it away, was awesome. We will enjoy the well-earned win and then begin preparing for a very good Hope team on Tuesday."

Kalamazoo will now move on to face that Hope team in the MIAA Tournament semifinals on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
