Women's Tennis Splits Final Matches in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team split its final two matches in Florida on Tuesday. Kalamazoo defeated Huntingdon 9-0 before falling 6-3 to Trinity (Conn.).

Kalamazoo vs. Huntingdon

Kalamazoo began the day with a 9-0 win over Huntingdon University. The Hornets had walkover wins at three doubles and six singles.

Sophie Zhuang/Renee Torres won 8-2 at one doubles. Rebecca Elias/Soussana Kimbouris won 8-1 at two doubles.

Meghan Killmaster (1), Maddie Hurley (2), Eleni Bougioukou (3), Ivy Walker (4) and Kimbouris (5) all won in straight sets in singles.

Walker and Kimbouris each won 6-0, 6-0.

Kalamazoo vs. Trinity

Kalamazoo led 2-1 after wins at two and three doubles. The Bantams responded by winning five of the six singles matches to win the match.

Maddie Hurley/Meghan Killmaster won 8-6 at two doubles. Ivy Walker/Rebecca Elias won 8-6 at three doubles.

Sophie Zhuang was the only Hornet winner in singles, winning 7-5, 6-0 at number two.
