Kalamazoo College's Ben Chosid was named MIAA Baseball Position Player of the Week on Monday.
A senior from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Huron), Chosid hit .500 for the week, helping the Hornets to a 3-0 record for the week. He started all three games at shortstop in wins over Hope and Trine. Of his seven hits, two were doubles. He also drove in six runs.
On the season, Chosid is batting .304 with three doubles and 16 RBIs.
Kalamazoo (11-7, 4-2 MIAA) is back in action at home Monday afternoon with a single game against Trine beginning at 4 p.m.
