Men's Swimming & Diving Gains Win over Olivet and Falls to Hope in Tri-Meet

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's swimming and diving team defeated Olivet 166-42 and fell to Hope 162-66 in an MIAA Tri-Meet on Friday (Oct. 27) in the Natatorium.

The Hornets had one event winner on the day as the 400 Free Relay team (Daniel Koselka, Ben Pickrel, Zach Butters, Tim Karubas) had a time of 3:18.56. 

Kalamazoo had eight second-place finishes, including:

Zach Butters (1000 Free): 10:36
Daniel Koselka (50 Free): :22.29
Ben Pickrel (200 IM): 2:02.53
Jose Torres-Rios (3-meter): 173.33 points
Tim Karubas (100 Free): :50.31
Ben Pickrel (100 Back): :53.92
Zach Butters (500 Free): 5:05.48
Erik Danielson (100 Breast): 1:03.82

Kalamazoo had several third and fourth-place finishes, including: 

200 Medley Relay (Zach Heikka, Erik Danielson, Alden Ehrhardt, Andre Fouque): Third at 1:39.58
Avery Jones (500 Free): 5:21.42

Daniel Koselka (100 Free): :50.41
