Men's Tennis Defeats Hope

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team improved to 4-0 in the MIAA (7-6 overall) with a 6-3 win over Hope College Friday at Stowe Stadium. It was Hope's first conference loss of the season (7-9, 5-1 MIAA).

Kalamazoo won two of the three doubles matches before winning four singles matches to win the match and remain undefeated in the MIAA.

Gabe Vidinas/Peter Fitzgerald won 8-5 at one doubles. Casey Johnson/Adnan Alousi won 8-7(2) at two. Parker Foster/Louis Landreau were narrowly defeated 8-7(6) at three.

Vidinas won 6-3, 6-4 at one singles. Fitzgerald won 6-2, 7-5 at two. Alousi won 6-3, 6-1 at three. Landreau won 6-1, 6-3 at five.

Kalamazoo returns to action Sunday with a non-conference match at Case Western Reserve University scheduled for noon.
