The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team and two players were recognized with academic honors by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Wednesday (July 26).

The 2023 Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team was recognized as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad by posting a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the 2022-23 academic year. This is the sixth straight year (excluding 2019-20 due to Covid-19) the team has earned this distinction and the eighth time overall.

Two individuals were recognized as IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll members: Elena Basso and Emma Curcuru. This is the second time in her career that Basso has received the honor, while Curcuru was selected for the first time. In total, 964 student-athletes from 173 different institutions were named to the honor roll.

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.
