Volleyball Opens Season With Four Wins

BELOIT, Wis. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team won all four of its matches at the Buc Blast hosted by Beloit College Friday and Saturday.

Kalamazoo won its season opener 3-1 over Martin Luther College on Friday. Kalamazoo won the first two sets (25-16, 25-17) before dropping the third (22-25). The Hornets won the fourth set 25-18 to win the match.

Kalamazoo won its second match of the night in three sets over Alverno College (25-10, 25-17, 25-12).

On Saturday, Kalamazoo overcame a two-set deficit to defeat Beloit in five sets (23-25, 24-26, 25-14, 25-15, 15-10).

Kalamazoo finished the weekend with a sweep of Mount Mary (25-23, 25-15, 25-21).

Madi Goodman and Lindsey Nedd were selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Statistics from the matches were not immediately available. They will be posted online as soon as they are available.

Kalamazoo is back in action Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Manchester.
